About Us:

Vidya Dan Samiti, a prestigious institution of North Karnataka has successfully completed one hundred years and till now more than ten affiliated institutions are imparting education to the students through this institution. Among these institutions   Vidya Dan Samiti Classic English Medium Primary School is one of the institutions which started on 10/06/2012 with one teacher and two students temporarily in a rented building.

The classes were officially started with LKG and UKG on 10/06/2013 by the Government of Karnataka through 4 rooms in a separate space within the premises of the Vidya  Dan Samiti.  In 2013, the Pooja ceremony of the school building was performed by Sri Vishweshwar Theertha Swamiji of Pejavar Math, Udupi.

The school’s first teacher Mrs. Nasirabhanu Julakatti worked well under the good guidance of the Secretary of the institution Mr. Shrinivas Huilgol and the encouragement of the parents of the students.

In June 2016 it became recognized for classes 1 to 5. Then in 2017 Mr. M.R. Dollin was appointed as the Headmaster. He followed all the rules of the education department and the guidelines of the governing body and is providing a good learning environment for the children.

The Management has been providing all the basic facilities required by the children in the school and following all the standards required for the safety and security of the children, along with good quality education, they have been encouraging and supporting the children to engage in extra-curricular activities.

The President of the Vidya Dan Samiti Sri. D.B. Huilgol, Secretary Shri Srinivas Huilgol and Administrator Dr. Gangubai Pawar with their guidance and encouragement, School is able to create a quality learning environment for needy children with optimum fees.

Under the guidance of Secretary Mr. Srinivas Huilgol and  as a result of the hard work of the Headmaster Mr. M.R. Dollin,  the school got recognition for 6-8th standard for the academic year 2021-22 from the education department of Government of Karnataka.

Thus, as the classes of the school increased and the number of students also increased. With the encouragement and cooperation of the parents, the school was able to gain a good name in Gadag city. As per the demand of the parents, the management board procured a Mini bus for the rural poor students to commute to get better education.

One of the big dreams of Sri Srinivas Huilgol, the secretary of the institute, is to provide CBSE education at a minimal fee even to children from middle class families of Gadag city. So an affiliation application has been submitted for this school to get CBSE recognition for the ensuing academic year. 

Thus this school is leading its chariot by providing quality education along with good facilities at minimal fees to the children. For the current academic year 2022-23, a total of 270 students from nursery to seventh standard are studying in this school, and a total of 16 teaching staffs are serving in the Institution.
